Traditionally the Samburu do not garden; they live by herding goats and cattle. However at Sarara, Adan, a Samburu elder, has developed green fingers and much of the fresh fruit and vegetables that you eat are grown under his care. Hillary will take you on a personal tour, to see how papaya trees grow, where the fresh lettuce comes from, and to nibble the sprouting herbs.
